Veteran Home Help
Terms
How we quote, book and invoice, and what happens if a visit is cancelled.
Veteran Home Help is an independent private business. We are not part of, endorsed by or acting for the Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) or any government agency. DVA decides what you are approved for.

Who we are
Veteran Home Help ([legal name to come], ABN [ABN to come]) is an independent private business. We are not part of DVA or any government agency and don't act for DVA. DVA decides what you are approved for.
Quotes
Each quote is tailored to your home and your approval. Before your first visit we agree with you what's included, how often we come and what it costs, and we tell you if any part of it is above your approved amount.
Your DVA approval and what DVA pays
We book each service exactly as your DVA approval lists it: the service type, how many a year and the maximum cost per service. DVA pays only for services on your approval, up to the approved amount per service and DVA's weekly limit. DVA pays only for services that are delivered.
Window, gutter and solar panel cleaning are provided on single-storey homes only.
Top-ups above your approval
If a service costs more than your approved amount per service, or your services in one week go over DVA's weekly limit, the difference is a top-up that you pay, not DVA. We tell you before we book, and nothing above your approval goes ahead without your agreement. How and when you pay a top-up is agreed with you before the visit.
Cancelling a visit
Please give us at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or move a visit. A visit cancelled with less notice is charged, to cover admin and the time the team had set aside for you. Because DVA pays only for services that are delivered, that charge is paid by you, not DVA.
