Veteran Home Help is an independent private business. We are not part of, endorsed by or acting for the Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) or any government agency. DVA decides what you are approved for.

  1. Who we are

    This website is run by Veteran Home Help ([legal name to come], ABN [ABN to come]), an independent private business providing cleaning and home help in Perth, Western Australia. For any privacy question, email admin@veteranhomehelp.com.au.

  2. What we collect through this website

    When you send a quote request, we receive what you type in the form: your name, phone number, email address if you give one, suburb, the service you're asking about, whether you have a DVA household services approval, and your message.

    When a local professional applies through Work with us, we receive their name, phone number, email address, ABN, services, the areas they cover, their answers about the requirements and their message.

    The forms don't accept documents. Please don't send DVA documents through them.

  3. Your DVA documents

    If DVA has approved your services, we ask you by email after first contact for your approval letter and the one-page supplier information sheet with your Transaction Reference Number (TRN). They contain personal details, so you send them by email after we've spoken, never through the website.

    We use them only to book your services as your approval lists them and to invoice DVA. When we invoice DVA, the invoice includes the details DVA asks for, such as your name, TRN and the services delivered.

    We store your documents on a computer, with a paper backup, for as long as we provide your services, and we delete them when you stop using our services.

  4. Who handles your information

    Formspree receives what you send through our forms, keeps a copy in our Formspree account and emails it to us at admin@veteranhomehelp.com.au.

    Google Analytics records how this website is used (pages visited, the type of device, when the phone number is tapped or a form is sent). It uses cookies and doesn't receive what you type in the forms.

    Vercel hosts this website. Like any web host, it keeps technical logs of visits.

    Our email provider stores the emails you send us.

    We don't use advertising trackers on this website, and we don't sell or share your details for marketing.

  5. How long we keep it

    Quote requests and emails are kept while we're in contact with you and providing your services. DVA documents are deleted when you stop using our services, as above.

  6. Seeing, correcting or removing your information

    Email admin@veteranhomehelp.com.au to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it removed. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
