Who is behind Veteran Home Help, and how the work gets done.

Veteran Home Help is an independent private business. We are not part of, endorsed by or acting for the Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) or any government agency. DVA decides what you are approved for.

Who is Veteran Home Help?

Veteran Home Help is a local, family-run business in Perth, set up in 2026 by Rob Menzies and Paul Hennessey to provide cleaning and home help for veterans with a DVA household services approval. Rob is based south of the river and Paul north of it, and together they cover the whole Perth area, from Mandurah to Two Rocks. Between them they have run window, solar panel and cleaning businesses in Perth for up to 10 years, including four years of work for DVA clients, so they know how approvals, invoices and weekly limits work in practice. Neither Rob nor Paul has a military background: they are local business owners who wanted veterans to have one reliable team to call for the household services DVA has approved, with the invoicing handled for them. The work is done by Rob's and Paul's own local teams, plus vetted local professionals for some services. Veteran Home Help is an independent private business, and DVA decides what each veteran is approved for.

Rob Menzies

Rob has run a service business in Perth for 10 years, including a dedicated cleaning business for nearly five years, with window, solar panel and domestic cleaning among its services.

He has worked for DVA clients for four years, and his business has done over 100 DVA jobs in that time, from house cleaning, ironing and laundry to windows and solar panels. He handles every DVA enquiry that comes to Veteran Home Help.

Rob is trained in window cleaning and in working at heights.

Paul Hennessey

Paul has run his own window, solar panel and gutter cleaning business north of the river for three years, including work for DVA clients.

He looks after the local professionals who join Veteran Home Help, and the Work with us applications.

Paul is trained to work at heights.

How the work gets done

Rob's and Paul's own local teams, plus vetted local professionals for some services. Every enquiry goes to the same team member, who reads your approval with you, books each service as your letter lists it, and tells you upfront if anything is above it. We reply within 24 hours, Monday to Friday.
